We arrived in Bali after a thirteen hour flight from Heathrow to Singapore and another two hour flight from there to Bali.
It was nice and relaxing wander around Singapore airport, although I probably should have asked for local currency change when I bought some new earbuds for my headphones!
Not particularly impressed with Meryl Streep’s film, Iron Lady, a bit dull really.
We were on a JetStar flight from Singapore and seemed to be the only ones on the flight that got fed!!!

We arrived in Bali and went round the travel desks at the airport looking for hotel bargains – we’ve ended up at a lovely place called the Kuta Beach Club, pretty Balinese furniture and winding gardens, a private balcony and a swim-up pool bar… Luxury! And at $75 US a night for an upgraded ‘Deluxe’ room, it’s also a bit of a bargain! So now it’s midnight, we’re having a drink at the bar, taking advantage of the free WiFi to let you all know we’ve arrived safely – and now we’re off for a wander into town to look for some food!
